The”Satellite Charging Station”

This object is a continuation of the “Magic Moments” series.

The ‘satellite’ comprises some cooling elements from PCs, to which ‘head drums’ from old video tape recorders have been added, which ensure that the top half of this part can be rotated.
Driving that is the job of a small motor enclosed in a column of steel rings.

The rear part is a perforated metal block housing the electronics, to which additional elements are attached: a pair of spotlights with LEDs that turn on when the spinning starts, plus some decorative parts in the form of the (Eifel Tower shaped) reading and writing arms that I harvested from hard drives.

Dimensions: about 40 cm wide, and just as high and deep.
